Every piece of work in Runnit lives inside a project. In this tutorial you will build a realistic marketing project from scratch, add tasks to it in three different ways, and then activate it so the work goes live for your team.
You do not need a Runnit account to follow along. The interactive demo below is a real recording of the product: click anywhere the guide points and you will move through the exact flow described on this page.
Try it yourself
Work through the demo first. It starts on the dashboard, walks you through creating a project for a beverage client, and finishes with the project activated.
Three ways to add a task
You saw all three in the demo. Each one suits a different moment in your workflow:
- From an empty project.
- From the New button.
- Directly in the table.
Activate the project
Until you activate it, a project is a draft: a safe place to shape scope and estimates. Hitting Activate project makes it live, which means the tasks become real work your team can pick up and the schedule starts counting.
That is the whole loop: create, shape, activate. From here, explore how briefs and agents attach to the project you just made.
